The Holistic Care Centre (HCC) is located within the Faculty of Health-Care Sciences at Eastern University, Sri Lanka. This was opened on 12. 09. 2022. HCC is committed for providing comprehensive and patient-centered care. With a focus on holistic concept, the center offers healthcare services to students, staff and the public, ranging from preventive, promotive to curative with research and training programs. The centre's multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals collaborates to address the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of health and wellbeing, ensuring a well- rounded approach to patient care. Through its clinical services, health promotion programmes, research endeavors, and educational initiatives, the Holistic Care Center strives to promote  wellness, advance medical knowledge, and nurture the future generation of healthcare professionals. All departments of FHCS are closely linked with their unique services for its community. It proudly conducts outreach programmes and events on special health days.

 

Vision

A one stop primary health care service center with “high quality patient centered primary care, preventive services, research, and training with evidence-based medicine”, through a holistic approach.

Mission

To inspire communities in delivering efficient, and cost-effective patient centered primary care with integration along with health promotion, disease prevention, research, innovation and training needs.

 

Goals

  1. To deliver high quality patient centered primary care
  2.  To undertake health promotion and disease prevention
  3. To design appropriate research and innovative projects to uplift the health and social status of the community
  4. To be an excellent training center in primary health care with integration

 

Objectives

  1. To provide patient centered cost effective, efficient, continued and comprehensive care to its target population
  2. To perform targeted health promotion and disease prevention programmes for individuals and communities
  3. To undertake research projects relevant to fields of individual and community health needs.
  4. To design and implement undergraduate, postgraduate, elective training for local and international students
