Holistic care centre is providing a well‑designed cardiac screening programme for the public with free of charge as part of the student teaching and learning activities which plays a vital role in identifying individuals at risk of heart disease early, allowing timely intervention and long‑term prevention. 

By combining structured assessments including anthropometric measures, blood pressure checks, ECG evaluation, and lifestyle risk profiling in the programme helps to detect silent cardiac conditions before they progress. Ultimately, a comprehensive screening initiative strengthens public health by reducing preventable complications and improving overall cardiovascular wellbeing to the society.

This time, fourth group of staff from Eastern University Sri Lanka were benefited from the cardiac screening activities on 06.08.2026. This event is successfully conducted with the support of Dr George Rajeevan Francis, Consultant Cardiologist and the team at the Holistic Care Centre, Faculty of Health-Care Sciences, Eastern University, Sri Lanka.
