Student’s wellness programme

The student’s wellness programme initiates with the arrival of a new batch to the faculty as a part of the student’s orientation programme to the faculty. This programme will be linked with the health club initiative of the HCC, where student’s will be empowered to clarify determinants of their own health and design and implement strategies to improve their wellbeing. They also will be sensitized and taught about strategies to improve family their wellbeing.

Services lineup

  1. Registration

Students will be registered to the HCC using both electronic and paper-based registration systems.

  1. Basic measurements

Student’s basic health parameters such as anthropometric and blood pressure measurements will be measured prior to the primary consultation. Lifestyle and wellbeing will be screened to detect any potential risk factor for their overall wellbeing.

 

  1. Waiting time

Students can expose to different health education and behaviour change communication messages at the lobby of the HCC, and have the opportunity to discuss and solve any health-related queries while he/she is waiting for his/her time for the consultation.

 

  1. Primary consultation

Primary consultation will be conducted in a patient focused way ensuring a good patient-doctor relationships based on family medicine principles.

 

  1. Wellbeing programme

After the primary consultation, students will be directed to a wellbeing programme that discuss about his/her individual and family wellbeing. Students will be linked with the health club, of the faculty.

 

  1. Follow-up

Referrals will be done for the specialist consultation. A date for the follow up will be issued based on the identified requirements.

 

  1. Specialist consultation

This can happen on the same day of the primary consultation or on another day based on the consultation schedule of the consultants.
