As it is an important case which lacks in modern facilities of treatment and awareness among the parents regarding how to take care of the children in more scientific way, the workshop on “Autism Spectrum Disorders” was arranged on 2nd August 2016 at Auditorium, Teaching Hospital, Batticaloa. Academic Staffs and final year MBBS & BSc Nursing students of Faculty of Health-Care Sciences, Health-Care Professionals who working with children, Preschool and Primary school teachers, Parents and others who have interest in Autism were participated. Dr.Sumi Pathy and Dr.Kaveri Sivaruban, experts and also well experienced in Autism with their own children, from United States delivered session on Autism management and shared their experiences and the facilities available in United States which have to be improved in Sri Lanka.
