Workshop on Lesson Plan
Aim of this workshop was to highlight the importance and also to provide a frame work for “Lesson plan” to be incorporated in teaching practices by the academic staff at the FHCS.
The workshop was conducted on 16th January 2020 Department of Medical Education and Research, FHCS and Mr. T. Sathaananthan, Senior Lecturer, DMER, FHCS was the resource person.

Discussion on Developing BPH Programme
The discussion held on 18.10.2016 at Board Room, FHCS with the participation of Community Physician, Public health workers, Professors & Academic staff of FHCS. Prof. P. T. Jayawikramarajah (Consultant - Curriculum Development, FHCS) chaired the discussion.

Workshop on Transitional justice
The workshop organized with the aim to improve the awareness on Transitional Justice among EUSL students. The National Peace Council of Sri Lanka(NPC) sponsored the event. It was conducted on 20th September, 2016 at Nalliah Auditorium, Eastern University, Sri Lanka. Dr. Jehan Perera (Executive Director, NPC) & Thushara Ranasinghe (Programme Manager, NPC) were the resource persons of the workshop.
Exposure Visit to Institute of Medicine, Tribhuvan University, Nepal
In order to initiate Bachelor of Public Health (BPH) programme in Eastern University, Sri Lanka. The Delegates from EUSL visited to Institute of Medicine, Tribhuvan University, Nepal for observe the BPH curriculum and it's implementation and other aspects such as field training etc. The step was taken to establish the collaboration between both institutions for developing BPH programme in EUSL.
Workshop for autism awareness
As it is an important case which lacks in modern facilities of treatment and awareness among the parents regarding how to take care of the children in more scientific way, the workshop on “Autism Spectrum Disorders” was arranged on 2nd August 2016 at Auditorium, Teaching Hospital, Batticaloa. Academic Staffs and final year MBBS & BSc Nursing students of Faculty of Health-Care Sciences, Health-Care Professionals who working with children, Preschool and Primary school teachers, Parents and others who have interest in Autism were participated.
Workshop on Ethics & Academic Accountability for Academic Staff in the Eastern University, Sri Lanka
The workshop had arranged for the all-academic staff in Faculty of Health-Care Sciences on 12th July, 2016 at Lecture theatre, FHCS. Mr.T.Sathaananthan (Senior Lecturer, Dept. Medical Education & Research) was the resource person of the workshop.
