Workshop on Access to Databases and Use of Online Catalogue of Library
The workshop has arranged for the all-academic staff in Faculty of Health-Care Sciences on 12th July 2016 at Computer Lab, FHCS. Mr.S.Santharooban (Senior Assistant Librarian, FHCS) was the resource person of the workshop.
Workshop on Travel Medicine
The workshop was held on 19th May, 2016 at Lecture Theatre, FHCS. 3rd Year MBBS students and Final year BSc. Nursing students participated in the workshop. Mrs. Janet Shuldiner Hammer(Family Medicine Clinician & Cultural Anthropologist, USA) was the resource person of the workshop.
Workshop to Improve Curriculum with More Clinical Teaching and Assessment
The workshop was held on 11th May, 2016 to improve the curriculum and the outcome of the academic staff. Prof. Mahesh Nirmalan(Director of clinical placements of Manchester Medical College, University of Manchester, United Kingdom) was the resource person for the workshop. The workshop was conducted in two different topics; “Impediments to professional and personnel development” and “Clinical placements in an integrated curriculum” for the Consultants of Teaching Hospital Batticaloa (THB), academic staffs of FHCS and Final year MBBS students.
Workshop on “Primary Care Teaching for Medical Doctors and Clinical importance, new updates in Primary Health-Care”
Above mentioned workshop was organized for primary care physicians on 10th April, 2016 at Batticaloa Regional Director of Health Service Office, Auditorium to develop a primary care physician team for improve the undergraduate MBBS Programme in Eastern University.
Workshop on "Mendeley Reference Manager"
Managing and writing reference are the difficult and tedious tasks for every researcher. Mendeley Reference Manager Software is explicit that issues. Therefore, Dept. of Medical Education & Research has organized an above mentioned workshop on 5th of April 2016 at Computer Lab of FHCS for all academic staff of FHCS. Mr. S. Santharooban(Senior Assistant Librarian, FHCS) was the resource person of the workshop.
